We host two types of seminar; a Lunch & Learn in  your practice which offers 1 hour of certifiable CPD and Evening Seminars in various locations around the country which amount to 2 or 4 hours CPD.

“Lunch and Learn” with smartseal

smartseal is an endodontic product that provides consistent results, is simple and straightforward to use, and is extremely cost effective.Launched to the profession in 2007, smartseal has already received positive feedback from practitioners who have tried it.To introduce you to the product, the smartseal team will be pleased to arrange a ‘Lunch and Learn’ for you and your team, at a time to suit you, and they’ll even provide the sandwiches!  The smartseal team believe you get what you pay for, so we are not ashamed to charge your practice for our “Lunch and Learns”.  We think £25.00 is a small price to pay for what your team get out of it.  If lunchtime isn’t suitable for you, we can arrange to come along to your practice in the evening.  For evening sessions we substitute lunch with wine and nibbles!

These events will be hosted by either Ali Auckland, smartseal‘s Product Manager, or Alexandra Heath, smartseal‘s Senior Chemist.

Your ‘lunch and learn’ will cover:

• Background and development of smartseal
• How it works and the uniqueness of the product
• Cost benefits of the system.
• The Lunch and Learn fee off smartseal products purchased on the day

There is a nominal charge of £25.00 payable on booking. This also includes one hour of verifiable CPD with certificates for all attendees.

Evening Seminars with Jerry Watson

Fed up with CQC?  Want easier, simpler endo protocols?

Let us help.  Join Dr Jerry Watson and the smartseal team for the evening and we will demonstrate that by using a simple protocol you can obtain increased success with your endo treatments.

Each seminar begins at 6:30pm and ends at around 9.00pm.  We charge a modest £50 (inc. VAT- nurses come free) and refreshments will be served.  All delegates will receive two hours of verifiable CPD.  The trainer will be Jerry Watson BDS, a general dental practitioner and trainer from Stamford, Lincolnshire, who also happens to be the Clinical Director of smartseal!

To get the most from the course it is essential that you bring at least one extracted tooth with the access cavity already prepared.

Aims and Objectives

• To help refine a difinitive endo protocol for preparation, irrigation and obturation.
• Provide the knowledge and skills through hands-on to be able to impliment the  smartseal system within your practice should you choose to do so.
• Provide the knowledge and skills through hands-on to use a rotary file system.
• Learn about the alternative to GP that is non-latex, biocompatible and non-biodegradable.
• Learn about the science and unique polymer plastics behind smartseal.
• Hints and tips to aid your everyday endo.

Everyday Endo

Join smartseal‘s Jerry Watson and d2dENDO’s Charlie Nicholas, for an introduction to many practical steps for everyday endodontics, and try both the new S5 rotary files from Sendoline and the smartseal obturation system.These twilight seminars are from 4.00pm – 8.30pm and offer 4 hours CPD. Charlie Nicholas BDS is an endodontist based in the midlands. Following qualification from Birmingham dental hospital in 1996, Charlie developed his skills in endodontics by attending the L Stephen Buchanan ‘Art of Endodontics’ programme in Santa Barbara, California. Charlie has a keen interest in research and has worked with leading experts in the field in both Europe and the US. He has also lectured extensively in the UK. He is a director of specialist companies, d2dENDO and d2dIMPLANTS.

Format of the evening

Part 1 – Charlie Nicholas: Canal shaping, cleaning and irrigation.

Break for supper.

Part 2 – Jerry Watson: Obturation and radiographs.

Coffee, followed by hands-on.
